Knit, Purl, Pray is for the knitter who recognizes that when she is creating something beautiful with yarn, it is also a way to be quiet and reflect. The devotions make connections between knitting and all manner of things from joy and service to boredom and confession. These reflections help the reader think about the craft they love in a new way and perhaps see their problems as something that can be unraveled and reworked into something beautiful. Each new day is an opportunity to create something new.
Knit Purl Pray is a great little devotional for any knitter! Each devotion will only take a few minutes to read but it gets you into the Word and includes a short prayer at the end. The author writes in a way that is easy to read and easy to relate to. It sounds like she dislikes weaving in ends at the end of a knitting project as much as I do!
The book itself is of good quality and the perfect size to tuck into your Bible case or even carry in a purse. There are even a few simple knitting patterns included at the end! All in all, I’m very pleased with Knit Purl Pray and I think it would make great a great gift!
