Easter is coming, and He is risen, indeed!
I just finished a quick Easter entry in my journaling Bible and I thought I would share the steps I took to create it. No artistic skills needed!
First, I took my Martha Stewart inks and used the ink pads to dab them around directly on to my page. I couldn’t get a picture that was really true to colour and then my battery died, but these inks are really quite vibrant and I love them.
Next, I took some stamps I found at Michaels recently and stamped on the crosses. I can’t find a link to the same ones because I don’t remember the brand they are, but these ones on Amazon are close and a very good price!
Edited to add: I found the same set of faith stamps I have! Here is the link to Amazon for them.
Next, I just used my Micron brush pen, that came in a set with several pens with different sized tips, to write out He is risen.
That’s it! My lettering isn’t fancy at all. It just is what it is, and I’m happy with it. These pens are great because they dry quickly, don’t bleed through (although they do shadow a bit sometimes) and they are waterproof, which means I can go over them with watercolours or something and they won’t smear.
Here is the final product. I wish the colours showed up better but what I did really isn’t that important. What’s important is to get into the Word of God and create journal entries that reflect what God’s word means to you!
