Every year I’ve taken not-back-to-school photos of the kids. It’s so neat to see how they’ve grown and their personalities shine through. I’m a little late this year but here they are!
And here are our past photos:
I have several Amazon.com gift cards saved up from Swagbucks rewards so I’ve been searching there for school supplies for the year. Here are some fun and useful finds that I wanted to share.
This chalkboard contact paper is a fantastic idea. There is so much you could do with it! You could make a quick large chalkboard for the wall, or cut it up and make little tablets for each child.
This inflatable globe could be used for some fun geography games! Have the kids stand in a circle and throw the ball around the room to each other. When they catch the ball, they identify what continent or country their right index finger is on!
This pocket schedule is a great way for kids to know what is happening when in their day. If you have children too young to read, you can draw pictures of the activities, or adhere clip art pictures.
Glue is almost a must for young children. I haven’t tried them myself yet, but these Dab N Stick glue tubes claim to dispense the perfect flow of glue and they don’t dry up if the lid is left off! I think I’ll be getting some. Pencils are another must-have that you can get for a great price at Amazon.
These library card pockets are super fun and colourful and would be great for lapbooks!
If you’ve been looking for a thermal laminator, I definitely recommend this one! I’ve had one for a couple of years now and love it. It is inexpensive and it I haven’t had any problems at all with it! You can buy the pouches of the same brand or use generic brand ones. I’ve only tried the Scotch brand pouches myself so I can’t really vouch for the other brands, but I haven’t heard anything negative about them from others.
What are some must-have school supplies in your home, whether you’re homeschooling or not?Disclaimer: I am not being compensated at all for sharing about these items. They are just products that I either have used and like myself, or that I think look good and will likely purchase for our home school. Affiliate links are contained in this post.
