I think we did pretty good last week! Granted, we’d bought milk the day before I started it (which is about 10 dollars for both kinds of milk we need to get), but we still only spent about $25-30 on groceries, and some of those were extras (my ladies accountability group had a pizza night and I brought veggies).
So last week, we bought:
2 green peppers (one for the pizza)
some mushrooms (for the pizza)
yogurt (on sale, so that I had a starter to make my own yogurt…which will be in an upcoming post!)
spaghetti sauce (we ran out of homemade)
2 gallons of milk
I think that’s it..I really can’t remember all the items, just approximately how much it all cost. Either way, it was under my goal of $50!
I also made a loaf of bread, and a batch of homemade yogurt.
This week’s meals are:
M- taco casserole
T- salisbury steaks with mashed taters (we ended up not having them last week)
W- Chicken and rice
F- Shrimp and veggie fried rice
S- Homemade hamburger helper (again, we didn’t end up having this last week)
Su- not sure yet..possibly leftovers
