I’ve wanted to learn to crochet for a long time. Actually, to relearn. My mom taught me a bit when I was very young, but I never held onto it.
I kept procrastinating, thinking that I didn’t have the time to learn and practice.
I was totally surprised at how simple crocheting actually it. Not to say easy, but how straight forward the stitches are once you learn them. And that you can start making fun things knowing only 1 or 2 different stitches!
First I attempted a headband..but I didn’t get the flower part right.
Later that night, when I was trying to get to sleep, I realized what I had done wrong, and tried again the next morning.
Then I tried a slightly more complicated headband, but ran out of yarn for that colour. So if I ever have another little girl, I have a cute little newborn headband waiting. I also tried making Josiah a little hat, but I think I used the wrong size hook, because it also turned out newborn size instead of 6-12 months like the pattern said, lol.
I just ordered some yarn with some early Christmas money, so I’m hoping I get it this week.
Do you knit or crochet? When did you learn? Do you have a favourite pattern to share?
