I know I’ve been slacking so badly with posting for the last…long, long while…
I’m trying to get back into the swing of things!
I have a few (hopefully) interesting posts planned and while I get those ready, I thought I’d share a couple of other Bible art entries I’ve done recently. I really need to get back into the habit of reading the Word more and doing these entries help me to focus and really think about what I’m reading, and how I can apply it to my life.
This is the first entry I did using a napkin in the method I described in my last post.
There are a lot of ways that I’m not the Proverbs 31 woman but I think this is one of the areas I need to work on first. My mouth. Far too often, I open my mouth and what comes out is rooted by emotions, not wisdom.
I’m also currently reading through Job with the First 5 app. Do you use it? I’m really enjoying it.
Job didn’t know why he was going through what he was going through. But even though his friends were a bit (or a lot) off the mark when they tried to console him, Job knew enough about God’s character to know that even when bad things happen, God is still good. His character doesn’t change, his promises don’t disappear.
We need to be well versed in the word so that when tragedy strikes we are sure-footed in God’s truths; they don’t change because of circumstances. When the world is going crazy, we can rely on God to remain the same.
Have you been Bible journaling? Or have you read something in the Bible that really stood out to you recently? I’d love to hear about it!
