First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who are in the US! I hope you’re having a great holiday.
Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of knitting. I find it relaxing and therapeutic.
A while ago, I got this bright idea in my head to knit all of the kids Christmas stockings. I didn’t really consider at the time that knitting large projects can feel tedious, as does making the same thing over and over. I’ve been slowly making progress, and breaking up the big projects with some smaller ones here and there.
So far, I have 3 done! 1 more to go. Not too bad! It has taken a bit longer than it probably should have because I keep doing smaller projects in between.
I made Tobi’s dark blue, Annie’s in purple, and Josiah’s in yellow. I think they turned out pretty well! I’m trying to decide what colour to do the stripes on Gabriel’s with..probably light green.
Here is one of the smaller projects I made recently. A little purse for part of my daughter’s Christmas gift. I hope she likes it!
The latest fad in our house has been monster slippers. I made this pair for Tobi and all of the kids love them. I’m almost finished a pair for Josiah. In the meantime, they take turns wearing the green ones.
Here are the pattern links for the projects I’ve been doing. If you are on ravelry, you can add me as a friend! My username is ramblingsmom.

Why not make some quick and easy pocket hand-warmers? They make great gifts 🙂
Kids can try making some felt wreath ornaments for loved ones.
