We got another good dumping of snow the other day. They said it would only be 5-10cm. Yea..it was more than that overnight, and it snowed heavily the entire next day. When I opened the front door mid-morning, our driveway looked like this. There are actually 3 steps going down from the house to ground level.
With all of this brand new, clean, fresh snow, I decided we would try making snow ice cream!
I know that a lot of people think it’s gross. In some situations, I would be inclined to agree. But we live out in the country where the snow isn’t falling through smoggy air and the snow was freshly fallen.
First, gather a big bowl of snow. I used about 7-8 cups. Add in 1 cup of milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla, and 1/4 cup of sugar. Mix and serve!
This melts very quickly so I didn’t have time to take pics of the process but it really is that simple. If it melts too quickly for you, pour it into glasses, add a straw, and call it a milkshake instead! Kid approved, I guarantee. 🙂
