Did you know that it’s super easy and cheap to make your own OxiClean-like stain remover spray?
There are only 2 ingredients!
You just need some washing soda and hydrogen peroxide.
If you have ever made your own laundry detergent, you likely have washing soda on hand. It’s different from baking soda. You can find it in the laundry aisle of many supermarkets.
You’ll also need a small spray bottle. Mine is really way too big for this, but it’s the only one I had on hand.
You want to combine 2 TBSP of washing soda for every 1 cup of peroxide. Using a funnel makes adding the washing soda much easier.
Shake the mixture to dissolve the powder and let it sit overnight. Give the bottle a quick shake before using, and you can use it just like you would OxiClean. As with any stain remover, test it on a hidden section of clothing first.
According to Amazon, Oxiclean liquid stain remover is about $0.34/oz.
Making it yourself? This cost me about $0.10/oz (assuming you already have a spray bottle.)
