God’s Book of Prayers by M. A. R.
For the first time since 1611, when the authorized King James Version of the Bible was completed, the complete list of all the prayers of the Bible are available together and categorized. God’s Book of Prayers contains each and every prayer of the Bible, separated into nine categories for convenient reading. Find inside an elementary analysis of all the prayers for better understanding of the whole of the prayers in God’s Book, including the most common words in biblical praying.
God’s Book of Prayers is just that; a compilation of all of the prayers found in the Bible.
Before the lists of prayers comes various helps in how to benefit the most from the book. There is an overview of what prayer actually is, and how it is important. There is a quick discussion on the importance of praying God’s word back to him.
The prayers are categorized into 9 groups: Blessings, Confession, Prayers for Insight, Petition Prayers, Response Prayers, Prayers of Praise, Statement Prayers, Prayers of Thanks, and Prayers of Worship.
Each chapter is simply a list of each prayer found in the Bible, along with the Scripture reference.
I received a Kindle edition of this book, and I think that this book would be more easily used in a print edition so that the reader could browse or find prayers on specific topics more easily. But that goes for most Kindle books; it’s just more noticeable in a book of lists.
There are some charts in the beginning of the book that break down information about prayer in the Bible. For example, there is a graph of how many verses of prayer there are in each of the categories in the book.
Overall, I think this book could be useful for those who want to pray more directly from God’s word. I would just recommend getting the print edition. You can find God’s Book of Prayers in paperback at ChristianBook.com for 17.99.
