Last week I shared that I was taking part in a 30 Days of Wholesome Talk blog challenge. I felt that I really needed to join in because I’ve been over-tired, easily frustrated, and snappy lately. I need to get on top of that.
So here is how the first week went!
The first couple of days went well. Easier than I expected, really. But on day 4 or so, I started to lose it. The baby hasn’t been sleeping well and I’m not used to being so tired any more (not an excuse, I know.) The kids were cranky. My husband came home stressed from work. Eventually, I lost my temper and yelled at my 5 year old while I was making supper.
*sigh*
I mentioned my outburst on my Facebook page and was blessed by the encouraging words people shared.
Thankfully, kids are quick to forgive. I apologized a few minutes later and Tobi forgave me, and everything was OK again.
Thankfully, God is quick to forgive, too. I yelled at his little boy. Tobi isn’t really mine; he’s on loan to me from the Big Guy.
When I was in Papua New Guinea n a missions trip several years ago, the locals had an awesome name for God. Papa God. I love it.
So I apologized to my Papa God, too. And He forgave me.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9 NKJV
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.Psalm 103:12 NKJV
I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake;
And I will not remember your sins.Isaiah 43:25 NKJV
Are you taking part in the challenge? How’s it going for you?

This is a great post. I recently joined a new social community based around the Bible Series that will be airing on the History Channel in March. I have found it a GREAT place to express my faith and to talk about it with others. I think you would really enjoy it and it would even be a good blog post to talk about it if you enjoy it as much as I do.
The site is http://community.bibleseries.tv you can watch the trailers for the Bible Series too if you haven’t seen it yet.
I hope you like it and thank you for all the work you put into your blog!
God Bless,
Charlotte
I appreciate you being candid about your struggles. During this challenge it has been tough for me to realize my attitude toward my teenagers and the words I’m speaking could potentially affect their walk with Christ. Ouch! I’ll be praying for you.
