I love leafing through the pages of a photo album, but I’m horrible at taking the time to go through the photos son my computer, picking which ones to print out, then actually going somewhere to print them out. So I was really excited to have the chance to review a photobook that I could customize online by GroupBook!
I made a hardcover photobook in black. It’s very classic looking, and has a window in the front to show off the first picture. When making your photobook, you can choose between hard and soft cover, and there are several size options to pick from as well.
Before I got started, I chose which pictures I wanted to include in the photobook and put them all into the same folder on my computer. This way, it was easy to select them all to upload. Uploading them did take quite a while; with the resolution of photos nowadays, the file sizes are pretty huge.
One of my favourite features of the photobook is that you can choose the layout of each page. That means that you can cram a LOT of pictures into your photobook! You pay per page, not per photo.
Once I had all my pictures uploaded, it was easy and fun to organize them the way I wanted. I could rearrange them easily, I could easily crop, re-size, and move them around. There are guide-lines that pop up when you move the pictures around to help you center the pictures to make sure they aren’t off to one side a bit.
If you look around the GroupBook site, you can find ideas for creating your photobook. One idea that I love is that of making a custom ABC book for your kids!
GroupBook also offers many other products besides photobooks. You can create your own calenders, business cards, greeting cards, and more.
