I’ve seen lots of ideas for making canvas signs on Pinterest, so decided to try one.
First, you need to cut some paper to be just a bit bigger than your canvas.

Cover the canvas with glue or modge podge, then place face-down onto the back of the paper. Make sure it’s centered.

Press down firmly all over to make sure it sticks well, and that there are no bubbles. Then trim the corners and fold the edges of the paper onto the back of the canvas. Glue in place.

Place your stickers onto the front of the canvas.

Make sure all of the edges of the stickers are pressed down tight. This is where I should have been more careful. When you’re happy with the placement of the stickers, paint over the entire canvas. I only had white paint, but you can pick anything that will contrast your paper colour.

I put my sign out in the sun to dry, so it didn’t take long at all. When the paint is dry, carefully peel off the stickers. You’ll see why you need to make sure the stickers were pressed down firmly.

This is such a great idea! Thanks for sharing! We will have to try this at home sometime.
