I know that it is normal to get bigger a bit earlier with each pregnancy, but since I’m a twin and therefore have a higher chance of having twins, I was wondering if I could possible by carrying twins this time. I never had a period after Josiah was born so I had no real way of knowing how far along I was when I found out I was pregnant this time, though I had a reasonable guess.
Last week I went for a dating ultrasound to see how far I am. There is only one baby in there, and I’m now just over 9 weeks. My due date is January 5, 2013. With my husband’s birthday being December 14, Tobi’s birthday being December 18, and our anniversary being January 13, our Christmas season is going to be even busier!
This is the first time I’ve had an ultrasound so early in pregnancy, so it was neat to see the little bean in there, knowing just how quickly they change in there!
Tobi’s excited (most of the time.) He’ll randomly say “there’s a baby growing in Mommy.”
Other times, when Josiah is really bothering him, he’ll say that he doesn’t want another baby. Sorry, kid!
I’m feeling not too bad. I only had a few days of really yucky feeling morning sickness. I’ve been having more evening sickness. With all of my pregnancies, I’ve found that being over tired made me feel worse, so I guess it makes sense that by the end of the day, I’m more tired, and therefore tend to feel worse. I also need to make sure I eat small bits throughout the day. It feels like my stomach has shrunk! It takes almost nothing to make me feel full.
I am more tired overall as well. I’ve been going to bed by 9 most nights. The other night I even fell asleep and forgot to take out the flexi clip out of my hair! Surprisingly, since I’m a restless sleeper, it actually stayed in.
I would appreciate prayer for Josiah this week. He’s got a double ear infection again, poor guy. Tobi and I have colds as well. Nothing too bad, but it’s making for a long week. Thanks!
What are you up to this week?
