I’ve been severely slacking in the meal planning department and of course the budget is showing it. So this week I’m trying to get back on track. I find I have this bad habit of starting things full gusto, and then within a few weeks it dies off. I have a very hard time with keeping things (ie. meal planning) going!
So, without further ado, here is my menu for the week:
Monday– chicken wings, pasta sidekick and veggies
Wednesday– honey garlic chicken with rice and broccoli
Thursday– beef stir fry
Friday– sesame chicken spaghetti (I’ll post a recipe for this next week, once I have a photo to show you)
Saturday– sloppy joes
Sunday– fridge buffet if there are enough leftovers, soup and grilled cheese sandwiches if there aren’t
To make up for not making the wisest choices for meals last week (we ended up ordering in a couple of times) I tried my best to plan my meals using ingredients we already have on hand. So possibly the best part of this week’s menu is that I don’t have to buy anything for any of these meals!
All we’ll need to buy in the way of groceries for the week is milk (since we just got a bunch of fruit and some fresh veggies over the weekend.) I even found a huge freezer bag of sliced green peppers that I thought we’d run out of from last year’s garden!
What are you cooking this week?
