For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Sometimes things get tough. Sometimes, they get really tough. There are times when I wonder, is this how it’s always going to be?
But I have hope with knowing that things will get better. We go through hard times, difficult seasons in our life; these seasons don’t last forever.
But the season we’ll have later with Jesus, that will last forever. And God tells us that it’s so good that it can’t even be compared to anything we know here. How amazing is that?
The closest I can think to compare it is childbirth. Sometimes pregnancy is difficult and labour is almost always really hard, even if it’s a fast labour. But when that child is born and in your arms, it’s amazing. You don’t mind that you had to go through pain to get there.
I think that’s what it’ll be like. We have to go through hard times here on Earth. If life was easy all the time, how would we develop patience, empathy, and self-control? How would we appreciate the good times if there were no bad? What good is faith if it’s not tested?
I hope this encourages you. Lean on God to get through the hard times. We know we have a glorious light at the end of the tunnel.
