Whether you’re downsizing after the kids have moved out, or trying to make more room into your current home as your family grows, many of us are familiar with the feeling that we just don’t have enough space for everything!
I found this book mostly discussed how to make the most of your space for those living in tiny homes; studio apartments, 1 bedroom condos, etc. Nevertheless, this book would be useful to anyone who is just looking for ideas on how to make better use of the space they have, no matter what size of home they live in.
Kathryn goes room by room in several different housing types, discussing how to use your space more wisely, how to decorate in practical, multi-functional ways, and how to make small spaces appear bigger. She includes green tips throughout the book, as well as advice on how to save money on furniture and decorating. She even gives advice on how to entertain in small spaces! I also love how Kathryn discusses how you can manage your life without so much extra “stuff!”
At the end of each chapter, Kathryn shares many resources relevant to the chapter to help readers find products that will help them manage their space more efficiently. There is also room at the end of each chapter to write your own notes.
While at first this book may not seem relevant to your living situation if you don’t live in a tiny home, you can still find this book useful for learning how to better manage your space.
