Here’s a quick peek at our past week!
Tobi started a new set of Science books from Accelerated Christian Education. I accidentally just bought the workbooks thinking they were enough on their own. It turns out you need to buy their whole curriculum too..Oops! But we’re going to go through the workbooks as best we can without the rest of the kit, since I can’t afford the whole thing. Maybe I will check out www.earlychildhoodeducationdegree.net for more resources for myself in this venture with my children.
Tobi and I started Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons this week. I think the size of the book was a bit daunting to him, and he didn’t really seem all that enthusiastic to try. Since sticker charts work really well with him, I made up a chart for this as well. So far, the sticker chart is working out well. He even asked to do 2 lessons on Thursday!
Annie and I made some flower-shaped crayons this week, since she’s been doing a lot of colouring lately.
And Josiah learned how to use a Coolster sippy cup..which was convenient, because we lost his usual sippy cup last week and I still haven’t been able to find it.
