I saw this idea on Pinterest, and thought it looked great. And it turned out to be super simple!
All you need is some tissue paper, tape, modge podge (I make my own), regular paper, a printer, and a canvas.
First, pick a picture that you want to use. Since we only have a black and white printer, I had to make mine black and white.
Tape some tissue paper to the regular paper, making it as smooth as possible. Print the picture onto the paper so that the image is on the tissue side. My tissue paper had a rough side and a glossy side; use the rough side.
Cut out the picture. Put a thin layer of modge podge onto the canvas, then start laying the tissue paper down, starting at the top. This part was tricky. Go slowly! Press out bubbles as the appear, being gentle gentle gentle. The first time I tried this, the tissue paper tore. I just peeled it off and printed a new one!
Once the picture is on, cover it with another thin layer of modge podge, brushing it on gently.
Voila! I plan on doing a few more with the other kids.
