This week the kids and I are reviewing the last 4 weeks of lessons from ABC Jesus Loves Me’s 3 year curriculum.
Yesterday, we reread the story of Joseph and his special coat. After reading the story, I asked a few questions to see if Tobi remembered the details of the story (what was the boy’s name, what did his Daddy give him, how did his brothers feel, etc.)
Then, it was time for a project!
I found a couple of old white t-shits that didn’t fit Louis and I any more. I put a piece of cardboard inside so they wouldn’t bunch as much.
Then I let the kids at it with some markers. Fabric markers would have worked better; I won’t be able to wash these since I used crayola markers. If the kids were older I could have let them use different coloured Sharpies, but they aren’t so I didn’t.
When the kids were done decorating their special coats of many colours, I cut up the front of the shirt. Love how Tobi’s making a scrunchy face in this picture, with Annie looking on.
And now Tobi’s watching to make sure Annie learned how to do it properly.

Hey 🙂 I am your newest follower! Awesome blog!
What a neat project! I am going to have to remember this one for the future (my 2 year old can’t quite be trusted with a marker yet, even when heavily supervised). Thanks for sharing!
Love this idea! Thanks for sharing!
I’m totally gonna do this this week thanks
