I saw this idea on pinterest and just had to try it. Dry erase to-do list and menu board! It took me a few weeks to remember to look for wooden picture frames that I could paint, but I finally found a couple the same size, painted dark green.
I got home, removed the photo print and glass, sanded the frames down, and painted them black.
As the paint was drying outside, I found some pretty scrapbooking paper, and cut out pieces the right size, using the glass as a template.
For the menu board, I then used some stamps I got at a yard sale last year and black ink to print on MENU. For the to-do board, I added post-it notes (cheesy maybe, but I think it’s fun. It also helps me to keep my lists a reasonable size. If I want to add more items, I need to finish something else on the list to make room!)
I reassembled the frames (actually, hubby helped with this. The cardboard backing to the frames had been held in place with staples) and voila! DIY wipe-off menu board and to-do list!
