While talking to my mom the other day, she told me that when my brother and I were little, she used to make frozen jello pops for us. They’re easy, yummy, and drip less than regular popsicles or juice pops. Genius!
There’s no trick to making them. Just prepare jello as directed on the box (boil 1 cup of water, mix in the powder until dissolved, then add 1 cup of cold water and stir), then pour into your ice pop mold.
Freeze it, and when you want to remove one, just run it under hot water for a few seconds. If you want to make them easier to grab quickly, remove all the pops at once once they’re completely frozen, then stick them in a freezer bag.
The kids had fun helping me make them, and since they take longer to turn to liquid, they were more fun to eat (for Tobi at least, since he HATES the juice that drips down onto his hands with regular juice pops.)
