Amish Prayers, by Beverly Lewis
Ever since I first heard about the Amish, their lifestyle and devotion to God and the church has intrigued me. When I had the chance to review this book, I was really excited.
How to pray is one of the most common topics of Christian living. We all want to talk to God, but sometimes it can feel like we’re so distant from Him that we don’t know how He’ll ever hear us, or we aren’t sure we’re using the “right” words.
This book of Amish prayers is a great resource for praying about a multitude of different situations, from repentance to praise, gratitude to submission. These prayers have been translated from the original printing of the German prayer book that the Amish and Mennonites have been using since 1708. Each prayer also has an accompanying Scripture verse.
This book would be great for personal devotions, group study, or for memorization practice in homeschooling.

I received this book for free to review from Bethany House Publishers, but my opinions are honest and were not influenced by anyone else.
