Annabel had a doctor’s appointment today to get her 15 month shots; poor girl! Turns out the 10am appointment that we had is the first of the day…the office wasn’t even open yet! The kids had fun running around outside for a bit though. Nice thing about the first appointment of the day; not as much waiting!
Both kids and I have had colds for a while, though Tobi’s is barely a cough anymore. Annabel’s still coughing and runny nose-ing a lot, and turns out she’s wheezing too! Poor girl. There were a few times where she seemed to have a hard time catching her breath coughing, but it only lasted maybe 10 seconds so I thought it was just a bad cough. I feel kind of bad for thinking it less severe than it was..no wonder she’s been waking up so much at night lately!
So, instead of leaving the Dr’s office with a bandaid and sore arm, we left with a prescription for 2 different puffers and an Aerochamber, and instructions to come back in a few weeks to check her breathing, and if all is well, to get her vaccination. Thankfully, Louis will be at the next appointment with me, since Annie and I have back-to-back appointments (my first pre-natal appointment of this pregnancy!) Hard enough to keep 2 toddlers out of trouble in a cramped office on my own, let alone if I’m on the table getting a Pap!
One benefit; we’ll have 3 short weeks in a row in September! Sept 6 is Labour Day, Sept 13 for the Drs appointments, then Sept 21 for Tobi’s next urology appointment at CHEO.
Hoping these meds work quickly, and that Annabel won’t need them for long!
