We just spent 2 nights at Lac Phillipe in Gatineau, Quebec with the two kids! It was Annabel’s first time camping, and Tobi’s 2nd time (though he was only 8 months the first time we took him.) And it was H-O-T. Record breaking hot. We ended up leaving a day early; partly because of the heat, and partly because there just really wasn’t anything to do with the kids there. We’d planned on hiking lots but that wasn’t possible with the heat. Still, we had a lot of fun! We took a quick trip to Wakefield, which was only 5 minutes away, and Tobi got to see the Wakefield steam train, and even go inside. We saw lots of chipmunks, raccoons, squirrels, and even 2 deer — one right behind our site!
Here are some photos of our camping trip! Have a blessed weekend and keep cool!
